Monday Mischief - Cake

Hubby and I took advantage of Earth Hour saturday night and used it for a romantic interlude.  It was great having the whole house in candle light.  We opened up a bottle of french wine we got from a friend at Christmas.  It was a  2009 Lavau, Gigondas. Thanks John, it was great!

Sunday, Cameron and Emma came over and helped bake an apple cake for Gloria's Gotcha Day.

Cameron did the stirring while Emma added ingredients.

They both love to bake.

Fred and Gloria watched with eager eyes.

Then everyone waited for it to come out of the oven!
You can see the cake and the recipe here.
Fred was acting just a little put out that Gloria was getting all the attention.

"Ha! You call that a party? Just wait until the 19th!"

Yes, our little boy will be two on the 19th.

  16. It amazes me to see how expressive both dogs can be :-)
The two grand children are beautiful. Baking is so much fun, and so rewarding. Besides, they learn a lot in the process, like reading, counting, etc, without even realizing
