It was two years ago today that we had to say goodbye to Barney.
He is gone from our home but will forever be in our hearts.
Rest in peace my baby! xoxoxoxo
Little did we know that God had something else in store for us just three days later.
What a sweetheart Barney was. RIP Barney.

ReplyDeleteHi Charlene! I did start my blog to help me cope with the loss of Barney. It was a very difficult time as you learned with Deefa.

I know, it's hard isn't it.
DeleteRIP Barney - what a serene expression on his face. I'm crying as I write this remembering our dear ones that have crossed the Rainbow Bridge (3 in the last 3 years). But when you have the memories and the pictures they are in your heart and mind for always. Thinking of you xx (Leigh- Magic's Mum)
ReplyDeleteThree in three years! That's got to be hard! Thank goodness for memories!

I know. Thank goodness for memories! :)
DeleteBlogger is messing with me. I've posted and it said something about conflicting comment editing.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I was wondering why your dogs have such modelling talents. And by the way, can you share me that link or post about what happened three days later? I'm so curious.
Huggies and Cheese,
Haopee

Your pal Snoopy :)
Barney was beautiful! I'm sure he brought you a lot of joy! September will be our 2 year mark for our pug Turbo. Not a day goes by that I don't miss him :(
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet looking guy Barney was! We always miss our pets who have crossed, no matter how long they've been gone. It's so nice to see a remembrance post. I like to think that all our pets are together, romping in wide open spaces. :)
ReplyDeleteMom says: After losing the last of 2 of our old boys 4 years ago we said we'd never go through that again. But God had other plans for us and reminded us how much we were missing by only dwelling on our grief. We are so in love with our Murphy and Stanley! It really is better to have loved and lost . . .
ReplyDeleteI agree! It would be awful to miss the experience of loving dog!
DeleteAwww, Barney was a sweetheart! My mommy says that if her very first doggie didn't go to rainbow bridge, she would have never had her second doggie, whom she LOVED!! Mommy is dreading the day that Nala leaves us -- goshies, I can't even think about it. She'll be 14 this November. I don't even know what I would do. *sniff*
ReplyDeleteWoofs & huggies! <3
~Bailey (Yep, I'm a girl!)
What a nice remembrance. It is so true that our dogs never leave our hearts and thoughts, no matter how long they've been gone.

ReplyDeleteWhat a precious face Barney had. I know the feeling of having to say good-bye to a furry friend, though I had to wait a little bit longer before I was blessed with new buddies.

Thanks for your sweet comment about our Daisy. Obviously you have felt the pain of loosing one too soon. But God does seem to keep us busy with more who are in need!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Kim (Ruthie's mom)
What a handsome, handsome face Barney had!!! I know all too well how hard it is to lose one of our beloved 4-legged family members, and how you never quite get over that loss...But I also know the joy that is felt when another comes, that doesn't take the place of the one you've lost, but fills the hole that is left.
ReplyDeleteOur poochies who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge live forever in our hearts. I'm sure that Barney was a very special Basset Baby to you...
ReplyDeleteSometimes I feel the ache of the loss of our Annie girl who hasn't been gone yet for a full year. I miss stroking her head and getting her gentle licks.
I loved that photo of you and Barney as it says so much of how you and he loved each other.
What a lovely boy.
ReplyDeleteWe think of our "Leo" each March 25th as well. His ashes are in a little box on our mantle. I always say "hello", when I dust...finally after 4 years, I can do it without crying.
Wyatt's Mom
Sorry for your loss. It is never easy to lose a loved one. What a beautiful boy. :)
ReplyDeleteMay the good memories of Barney spare you the heartache of your loss.
ReplyDeleteNina, Myshka, Sasha, Betsy, Lucy, Phoebe and Lily

Basset Momma....
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean. My BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE German Shepherd/Golden Retriever cross, Shadow died two years ago in June. I cannot believe that that much time has passed us by already.... I still think about Shadow. I probably always will. But I plan to bake my Rose some blueberry biscuits on June 15th....
I'm a little late, but... ((hugs))
