Whew! I'm glad that week's over! I'm not 100% yet, but I'm getting there. I haven't been that sick in years and I don't want to be again. Enough of my whining though. I want to thank everyone for all the well wishes, it meant a lot. Thank you so much!
All the names were were put on paper, folded and put into a hat. It was all very scientific believe me. Actually quite advanced for a couple of hounds.
Freddie did the honors.
Then just about ate the winning name.
Although, even as I pried his mouth open, I could see the word "under" and knew then who the winner was.
None other than our pals from Australia Stella and Rory From Down Under. Congratulations guys! As soon as we receive your mailing address we will get your copy of The Dog Who Talked To God in the mail.
As for the weekend mischief, Freddie spent part of it whining in the lounge chair because his pink flamingo wouldn't let him have his deer antler.
"Waaaaaaaahhhh! Momma, pink flamingo won't let me have my antler!"
"Oh, just get down and get it Fred."
"No way! I'm not going near that floozie!"
Now a few people asked what Fred was doing while Gloria was staying faithfully by my side while I was sick. Well........
Just look at that face and use your imagination!
You weren't laughing at your sick mum were you Fred....
ReplyDeleteHe is such a comedian, I LOL at the pic of you trying to take the paper, I can almost hear you saying between gritted teeth "give it back Fred!"
Hope he managed to retrieve his antler from the malicious pink floozy and me and the pups are very pleased you are better now!
Lynne x
Glad you are better now.
ReplyDeleteI guess you need to be fit to face fred's mischief...

ReplyDeleteHowdy Fred and Gloria. We are happy your mum is on the mend now. It's not fun being in the sick bed but sounds like Nurse Gloria did a good job.
ReplyDeleteWe are thrilled to win the book. Thanks Fred, we're glad you didn't swallow the piece of paper hehe. Fred, we can't imagine what you would get up to with a sweet face like that. Surely nothing naughty aye? Hehehe. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

CONGRATULATIONS TO STELLA AND RORY..... maybe Rory will be so happy he will get off his mum and quit forcing her to watch PARLIAMENT on on the TV.
ReplyDeleteNow about that Floozie... Wait fur a bit and she will get TIRED of guarding your antler...then you can grab it... Even a FLOOZIE needs a SNOOZIE now and then.

ReplyDeleteHee hee. You have to watch out for those pink flaming joes Fred. Vicious. :)
ReplyDeleteThat could be a movie or a book...what Freddie gets up to while Momma is sick. Freddie and Gloria really should be a picture book.

ReplyDeleteNola
Wow, a big congrats to Stella & Rory! Good thing Freddie didn't slobber that slip to the point of blurred ink. BOL. That pink floozie deserves a good unstuffing!
ReplyDeleteGrr and Woof,
Sarge, COP
I'm so glad you're feeling better Janet. Flus are absolute misery. Freddie did a great job pulling out the winning ticket! He reminds me of Daisy sitting on that bench wanting someone else to retrieve whatever toy is on the floor. They've got us well trained! ;)
ReplyDeleteGlad you feeling better! How nice that Gloria took care of you while Freddie was up to mischief!
ReplyDeleteYour friends,
Murphy and Stanley
Congrats to Stella and Rory. That was a very fair draw. We thought that was a ballerina chicken when we first saw it. We have an Elvis chicken. It certainly has a sharp beak. Fred's right, stay away.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Fred was taking advantage of his unsupervised time.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Freddie you is pretty smart since you can pick a winner (without FULLY eating the name) AND know to stay away from the floozies!! Here in the jungle, our Uncle Freddy just isn't that smart (or maybe that sober).
ReplyDeleteGood thing Gloria was there to take care of the momma :)
Sugar the Who
