The weekend was slow and lazy around our house. Since it rained all day Friday, froze over and turned into a snowstorm on Saturday our yard had hidden ice underneath the snow. Fred wound up sliding around and hurt his front leg. So he limped around and believe me trying to restrict his playtime and the use of his leg wasn't easy! So it was back on the leash everytime he went outside again. Sunday he laid around with his Dad waiting for the Daytona 500 to come on.
And they waited.
Then after the rain wouldn't let up they postponed the race until Monday at noon. When everybody will be at work!
Hey BM!
ReplyDeleteSeems that your two men in the family have had bad luck during the weekends.
Don't worry, I'm pretty sure Spaghetti will be up and running in no time.
Huggies and Cheese,
Haopee
Poor guys rain stinks
ReplyDeleteAlas the misfortunes of nature and tv coverage. If only it rained on Politicians - their air time would be curtailed.
ReplyDeleteHope Freddie, is okay and will give a running commentary of the event for his Dad, upon his return from work.
I'm probably silly, but this bothers me. Gloria and Fred have massive paws, that should stick to the ground. Since they have short legs, their center of gravity is mow. In short, they are 4 drive dogs. How come they slide? They walk on their ears or what?
ReplyDeletePoor Freddie...a hurt leg stinks...limits all the fun he can get into!! Paws crossed for a speedy recovery!

Woof! Woof! Sending Lots of Golden Healing Thoughts to Fred's leg ... I guess it was a relaxing weekend on the couch. Happy Monday Mischief. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteAwww poor Freddie, hope his leg gets better soon. That ice is brutal for the hounds! I didn't know the Daytona 500 was postponed??
ReplyDeletePoor Freddie. Hope he is better. He has had his share of leash time. Thunder was limping a bit too due to slipping on some ice up by the cabin. We gave him a buffered aspirin which seemed to help. He will have rest today just to make sure.
ReplyDeleteRain, rain go away, don't come back another day!
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
Ah Poor Freddie! A hurt leg and no race. That's no fun.
ReplyDeletePoor Fred...I hope you're feeling better now .
ReplyDeleteCan I just say how ready I am for winter to be over.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bummer of a day for poor Freddie! I hope he is feeling better today!
ReplyDeleteAw poor little Freddie! I hope his leg is feeling better. That's so frustrating when you're waiting for something on TV and it gets postponed to a time when no one will be around to see it.
ReplyDeleteI know that everyone who's had snow this winter is ready for spring, but we only had an October freak snowfall and one dusting afterward. And the temps are in the 50s already. We miss snow!! :(
Hey Freddie,
ReplyDeleteBut you can still watch it today, right?! You could tell your Dad all about it!! Tee Hee
I hope your leg's better soon buddy,
Your pal Snoopy :)
Booo! Rain ruins all the fun.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your leg. Looks like you got some quality snuggle time in. Our Dad was bummed about the race too.
ReplyDelete-Bailey & katy
I was sad that the race was canceled but I am home today -- so it will be great! Maybe your daddy can stop home for a long break....ha ha! BTW -- I still have your Freddie song going in my head! Really catchy and cute! You guys ROCK!
ReplyDeleteYep, the rain messed up both your boys' day. Hope Freddie is feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteHi Y'all,
ReplyDeleteHey Freddie, sorry about the sore leg buddy. I'll keep my paws crossed for a quick recovery for you.
Was a beautiful warm day here yesterday, but it's raining today...total wash out. However, since we are still in drought conditions we're happy with whatever we get.
Sorry it rained out y'all's race. We had a busy, busy Sunday.
Y'all come back now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Poor Fred! I hope his leg is feeling better, soon! Sometimes we all need a week of from mischief!
ReplyDeletePoor boy!
ReplyDeleteDachshund Nola
Poor Freddie Spaghetti. Tell him to feel better. :(
ReplyDeletePoor Fred. Hurt paws is no fun. Millie has had a few ice sliding paw hurts in winter time.
ReplyDeleteDid they then watch the Oscars? Poor Freddie - be better, dude.
ReplyDeleteThat darn old ice! I hope Freddy is better today.
ReplyDeleteHey Miss Janet, Jet here. Boooo... sorry Freddie hurt his leg and sorry the guys didn't get to watch the race. The rain reached as far as Miami. Mom thought her visit to South Beach Food and Wine would be rained out, however, the rain ceased within about 35 minutes. Hope Freddie feels more comfortable today.
ReplyDeleteMiss Janet? We tried to post a nice comment on your friend Pixel's blog, but, it doesn't like wordpress. Would you post for us? Here's what Mom typed for me:
Hey Pixel, Jet here.
CONGRATULATIONS! We're rather new to blogging (since Oct. 2011), so we've been learning about the awards scene. How fitting that you won your award on Oscar night. Mom told me to share that she really loves the pay it forward philosophy. We will make a point to check out your award winners, too. Hope you enjoy an award-winning day!
No problem Jet, I'm headed over now!
DeleteOh, Miss Janet? Mom said I forgot to say please and thank you. WHOOPS! I meant to, really I did.
ReplyDeleteShame that it was postponed.

Freddie, I hope your leg is doing better. My person hurt her leg this weekend too, but I think she was faking it so she could take me on a shorter walk yesterday. It must be better now because we went on our normal walk today.
ReplyDeleteThat wasn't a great day - for Fred's leg or watchin' the race!! Hope all is better soon!
ReplyDeleteTail Wuggles, Rubie
Oh...Fred, I'm so sorry about your leg. I hope you get all better soon. As for missing the race...at least you got some extra cuddles :)
ReplyDeleteHope your leg is better soon Fred and the weather warms up so things can get back to normal for you and Gloria and your Dad - woofs & licks from Magic xx
