Monday Mischief - The Foiled Breakout

Once again, Friday I did my pre-weekend dog drool, fur and any other hound crud cleaning.  Fred and Gloria took their usual spot in the kitchen while I went on drool patrol.
This time however things were a little different.  Instead of Freddie sticking the wooden piece of the gate in his eye and laying there all dramatic like he usually does. He decided for some reason that he was breaking out!

"Come on Gloria!" "I'm breaking us outta here!"

"Nom, nom, nom....get up and help, Gloria."

"I'm telling, Freddie."

"Grrrr,grrrrr.....pfffft...aahhhh...yuk!"

"Whoa!" "Geez, Gloria!"  "Did you fart over here!"

"It's hard to get good help anymore." sigh!

  22. I have escape artists, too, although mine just throws his tiny little body against the gate in the hopes of knocking it down. (He usually succeeds. Dachshunds are stronger than they look!)

  34. Hahaha, oh Freddie! You make me laugh. Being in the kitchen can't be that bad; that's where all the food is! ;]

  35. Oh Freddie. You brought back a funny memory. R did that when he was a puppy on a "baby gate". He chewed a hole just big enough for him and slipped through. It's very funny to look at the hole now (it's tiny) because R would never fit!

    Great photos, Freddie!

  36. I love these pictures! Specially the one where you have your head stuck almost to the fence... hilarious. The chubby cheeks and long ears are always a source of entertainment.

  37. That's just hilarious. He got tired of doing the bite-a-thon that he eventually gave up. I really thought he was going to succeed on the second attempt.

By the way, BM, did you buy that gate thing? Is it attached to your wall? May I know what it is called? And secondly, can those be purchased on a hardware store?

    1. It's just a wooden baby gate. You can get it in the baby section of any dept. store. I think we got ours at Wal-mart. We did attach it to the wall and I'm sure you should be able to get them at the hardware store. :)

  38. Freddie, a good strong chomp down on that thing will probably do it. I know you can break out of there.
