The day that we had that wind storm and it blew part of our fence down, it also blew our garbage cans around the yard. When I went outside to pick them up one was missing it's lid and the garbage bag inside. I found the lid in the yard but never found the bag. Obviously the wind had carried it far, far away. Or or so I thought. About a week later, I was sitting at the table working on my blog, when I thought I could hear faint cries for help! I got up and looked out the front window and noticed something big and black in the neighbors' tree.
Lo and behold......there it was.
Our garbage bag! I'd know that Kirkland pull tie garbage bag anywhere! Sadly there was nothing I could do about it.
It hunkered down into the tree even further during the snowstorm we got last weekend.
I look over at it every once in awhile feeling helpless. You just can't help feeling sorry for the little guy. :(
"Hey!" "Momma!" "Snap outta it!"
"I thought this blog was supposed to be about me!!"
Note: Yes, that is a face cloth that Fred stole off of the bathroom counter!
This is for K.
fred you little thief! :)
ReplyDeleteFinn likes to take the oven mitts and munch on them, so I completely understand this phenomena! Has the bag fallen down yet?
ReplyDeleteDon't worry that bag will be okay, Mom. But as for Fred the laundry stealing thief, what is up with the hounds and then laundry. All of my hounds have always like the laundry doesn't matter dirty or clean. Happy Valentines Day to you sweeties. Sniffs, The HoundDogs
ReplyDeleteWe like sorting through the laundry too :-) but - I HATE bin bags - they are very scary all black and flapping. Happy Valentine's Day Fred & Gloria - love from Magic xx

That happened to us here. Only it was insulation and it blew there from a tornado. Oh, and it was our tree.
ReplyDeleteHappy <3 day!
Tanner
Laughed out loud about the face cloth. Jeffie does that, too. Actually, Jeffie often steals hand towels, sox, etc from the laundry basket (clean, dirty, doesn't matter to him). No chewing. He carries them around with him like a toy.
ReplyDeleteHa, that same thing happened here when we were having a new roof installed. The bags the tiles came in blew all over the place and ended up in the tallest trees. It took quite a few windy days for them to come down and a few we had to grab with a long, very long pole.
ReplyDeleteK and KB are going to be so surprised today. As K would tell us, embrace the day and live strong.
Happy Valentine’s Day to you!

Freddie makes me laugh - this blog is not about garbage bags, mom! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your support for K, both today and over the past months. We are truly grateful.
Maybe a pesky squirrel will get the garbage bag out of the tree. They've got to be good for something.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of surprising, isn't? It happened to me once as well. There was a time when the garbage truck arrived, and we emptied our garbage and put it back on the tin can. And the next day, I keep on looking for the garbage bag because I'm throwing our trash out last evening. Well, guess what, I saw it in my neighbor's porch. Heheh. We forgot to tie it after we returned on the tin can, I suppose. :D
