Barney

It was two years ago today that we had to say goodbye to Barney.

He is gone from our home but will forever be in our hearts.

Rest in peace my baby! xoxoxoxo

Little did we know that God had something else in store for us just three days later.

  5. RIP Barney - what a serene expression on his face. I'm crying as I write this remembering our dear ones that have crossed the Rainbow Bridge (3 in the last 3 years). But when you have the memories and the pictures they are in your heart and mind for always. Thinking of you xx (Leigh- Magic's Mum)

  11. Blogger is messing with me. I've posted and it said something about conflicting comment editing.

Anyway, I was wondering why your dogs have such modelling talents. And by the way, can you share me that link or post about what happened three days later? I'm so curious.

  23. What a sweet looking guy Barney was! We always miss our pets who have crossed, no matter how long they've been gone. It's so nice to see a remembrance post. I like to think that all our pets are together, romping in wide open spaces. :)

  24. Mom says: After losing the last of 2 of our old boys 4 years ago we said we'd never go through that again. But God had other plans for us and reminded us how much we were missing by only dwelling on our grief. We are so in love with our Murphy and Stanley! It really is better to have loved and lost . . .

  25. Awww, Barney was a sweetheart! My mommy says that if her very first doggie didn't go to rainbow bridge, she would have never had her second doggie, whom she LOVED!! Mommy is dreading the day that Nala leaves us -- goshies, I can't even think about it. She'll be 14 this November. I don't even know what I would do. *sniff*

    Woofs & huggies! <3

  39. What a handsome, handsome face Barney had!!! I know all too well how hard it is to lose one of our beloved 4-legged family members, and how you never quite get over that loss...But I also know the joy that is felt when another comes, that doesn't take the place of the one you've lost, but fills the hole that is left.

  40. Our poochies who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge live forever in our hearts. I'm sure that Barney was a very special Basset Baby to you...

Sometimes I feel the ache of the loss of our Annie girl who hasn't been gone yet for a full year. I miss stroking her head and getting her gentle licks.

I loved that photo of you and Barney as it says so much of how you and he loved each other.

  41. What a lovely boy.
We think of our "Leo" each March 25th as well. His ashes are in a little box on our mantle. I always say "hello", when I dust...finally after 4 years, I can do it without crying.

  45. Basset Momma....
I know exactly what you mean. My BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE German Shepherd/Golden Retriever cross, Shadow died two years ago in June. I cannot believe that that much time has passed us by already.... I still think about Shadow. I probably always will. But I plan to bake my Rose some blueberry biscuits on June 15th....
