Monday Mischief and Christmas Ornament #10

Fred had a very, very busy weekend full of mischief. It was just one thing after the other. I think he just has a lot of pent up energy and it sometimes gets the better of him.  After playing with Gloria last week he had a few really bad days with his legs. Actually the worst we have seen him.  I think part of this is because of this darn weather.  We have gone from cold and snowy to warm and rainy, then cold and freezing rain and now it is rainy and warm again!  After being on some pain medication and no activity for a couple of days it was getting impossible to stop him from attacking Gloria trying to get her to play.

Exhibit "A"

So we decided that a few short walks would be better then him wrestling around.  Well, that just seemed to get him all fired up and he has been a bugger all weekend!

It started with a basket of clothes I had put on our bed to put away. Freddie did a good job acting innocent.

"Go finish your housework Momma.  I'll make sure Gloria doesn't get into these clean clothes......hehehe"

Of course when I peeked back in he was trying to steal a sheet.

Then it was the vacuum cleaner.

 A cardboard box.

A paper bag.

And finally........

A tag and bow off of a present.  Not just any present.  One my husband wrapped and put under the tree for me.  He replaced the tag three times and finally gave up.  It now has no tag.  I don't know why Freddie picked this one present to keep taking the tag off of as he hasn't touched any other presents. So we have one present under the tree with no tag on it. So as you can see his walks really got rid of that pent up energy. Ya right!

Christmas Ornament # 10

Herbie from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. When you turn it on it lights up!

This has always been my husbands favorite Christmas show so I have bought him a few things over the years like the Herbie ornament, a Yukon Cornelius snow globe and a Bumble!

  4. Maybe your husband got you a bag of yummy treats for Christmas (the perfect gift if you ask me). It is understandable that Freddie would be so attracted to it. Fred could get a job at a shredding place, he is very good at it. we watched the Lions game and thought of you. Sorry for the lose. MOM and I were cheering as loud as we could.
    Blessings,

  7. It must be hard to have all that energy and bad legs at the same time. My dad had bad legs and he said they were always more painful when it was rainy or cold.
Freddie is such a character, we love him tons!

  17. Poor Fred! My sister has arthritis and takes Metacam and it really helps no matter what the weather. I am glad he is into trouble, though, as it shows that he can't be it all that much pain. Hope the weather settles so he can feel better.

  18. Oh Freddie, me thinks you've been a very naughty little man these days. Don't you know that Santa Paws is watching your every move? You better be careful there my furend. You gotta make sure if you're gonna do stuff like that, that you don't get caught by the flashy beast. That's the exact reason my Mom doesn't leave ANY prezzies laying around.

    Hugs,

  19. Oh Freddie. You remind me of that Billy goat cartoon I used to watch on TV. He ate the railway from one city! It was hilariously cute like you are... I hope Freddie's bad hip goes away for Christmas.

You got our card? That's just awesome. We hope you liked it.

That's funny - that only the present your husband wrapped for you keeps getting attacked. Lol - I wonder what it is??!!

  34. Sounds like Freddie is trying to get on the naughty list this year! (I was still cracking up though! lol)

Love, love, love the ornament. I love anything from Rudolph, so that is right up my alley. My 8 year old thinks Hermie's name is actually "Homey" though. Like he's some kind of gangster or something... hehehe.

  35. lol oh Fred! I agree with Theresa, he's really aiming for that naughty list isn't he?? ;) That ornament is so cute! Such a great movie...a classic and one that MUST be watched every Christmas for sure :)

  36. Okay, not for nothing, butts Ma says, "Welcome to my world!". Huh? What is THAT suppose to mean? Yeah, so I have issues! I swear, I did the exact same things this weekend! (Well, except for the present bow and tag, and that is only because the gifts are 'out of my reach') I also got into the paper recycling bin, and the towel rack, and the leaf pile, and....well you gets the picture!
I'm glad I'm not alone in my terror....

    Kisses,
    Ruby

Oh, Freddie. The weather bothers me too, though it's not my legs, it's my head.

Elka likes pulling apart cardboard as well. We keep empty 12 pack soda boxes for her to do so with.

  41. Bassetmomma-

Did you ask your husband for liver snaps or jerky treats? Freddie thinks there is something special in THAT box!!
