Yesterday I screwed up and had the ornament at #13 instead of #14. I blame it on menopause as I do everything. I tried correcting it but had no internet AGAIN until last night. grrr!! It is now corrected. If I have seemed sporadic in commenting it is because my internet connection has been sporadic which in turn is causing me to break out in excessive hot flashes from stress. Last night when I was about to spend another long intimate night on the phone with Bell Canada, my connection suddenly came on so I just hung up the phone and went with it! Sometimes I just can't bear to be on the phone with these companies. Anywho..........I present Christmas Ornament #15!
This Christmas Santa ornament has a paper mache, modge podge kind of body. I just love him. We got this ornament at the Mary Maxim store in Paris , Ontario while shopping with my parents earlier in the year before my Mom passed away. We went there with my Mom as she had a gift certificate to use that we had given her the previous Christmas. She bought a beautiful rose afghan kit. She started the afghan before she passed away and I still have it but sadly not the talent to finish it.
Woof! Woof! My mom tried to do a paper mache ornament before and it was a bit of a challenge. That's a beauty and Santa's face is smiling. Happy Ho Ho Ho Saturday. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteWhat a special ornament...as are all of your ornaments. I know I keep saying it, but I love this series. You better get up a photo of Freddie though, or I fear for the fabric and paper items in your home.
ReplyDeleteVery special ornament. I just love seeing them all. You hear that MOM? I love looking at ornaments on trees.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
What a cute ornament. And it has such special memories.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
That is a really cute ornament. My internet has been making me cranky too lol. Well it might be the computer I can't tell.
ReplyDeleteHi Basset Momma, that ornament looks so beautiful and also has beautiful memories of your mum. Thanks for showing us. Our mum talks about the 'men oh paws' too and says it's a pain in the er, you know what, hehe. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteSweet Santa ornament!
ReplyDeleteYep here it goes something like this, press 1 to speak to someone who does not care , press 5 to blow up, press 7 to have a nervous breakdown and press 9 to go into meltdown. Sure it is the same over there. Have a super Saturday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Very nice! Love ornies with such special memories behind them!
ReplyDeleteTechnology can cause real mood swings at my house - trust me I know. Hope the old internet connection keeps plugging along!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Santa. Several weeks ago Bell was suppose to send a technician and instead sent a new modem! The problem seems to have gone away, so whatever!
ReplyDeletethis must be the week for technology trouble. I had no email for 2 hours yesterday morning and was on the phone SCREAMING at Bright House! Hoping all functions properly for you today and I am lovin' these ornaments!
ReplyDeleteI used to love going to Mary Maxim with Grandma....and this is a beautiful ornament!! You have so much talent and are getting so good at making stuff, I bet you could tackle the afghan someday if you wanted :) We all know I don't have the talent for that stuff LOL
ReplyDeleteHey Fred, Hey Gloria, Jet here. Hi Miss Janet.
ReplyDeleteMr. Bell Canada seems as aggravating as Mr. ATT in the tropics! So sorry for your spotty service... seems to be a trend around blogville of late. Uh... do you think we were contagious?
We continue to enjoy reading the history of your ornaments, thank you.
Mom blames her current fever partly on the "M" thingie too... she's not sure if she's hot from that, her fever, or... the fact that it's 80 + outside!
What a beautiful and special ornament with lots of love and memories!
ReplyDeleteWhat a MEMORY FILLED Ornament this one is.
ReplyDeleteBoy HOWDY... do WE ever know about the frustration of POOR INTERMUTTS. OUR troubles have been going on since OCT. 24th... GRRRRRRRR. Hope Yours gets fixed SOON.
You should see if there is a knitting/crocheting club in your area that could finish it for you. Just ask a sewing store if they know of any.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty ornament.
Sam
Seems to be lots of folks are having Internet troubles! Glad everything is back to normal and your sequence is back on task!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Many, many years ago our Grandma always make paper mache ornaments out of balloons and my Mommy said they were really beautiful. She wishes they were still around because it brings such fond memories.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got your internets problem fixed.
Hugs,
Lily Belle & Muffin

Maybe the afghan is meant to be unfinished...until you find just the right person who can.
ReplyDeleteNice ornament! And it brings good memories:)

I love the stories behind each ornament... even when the stories are bittersweet. That's a beautiful ornament.
