I had a busy weekend doing Christmas baking and cursing at the internet. I had to stop long enough to fit in some play time for the hounds as I've been limiting Freddie's romping to just once on the weekends.
"Are ya done yet?"
They finally made me feel guilty enough to stop what I was doing and take them out for their walk and some backyard play afterwards.
Not the most graceful looking. hehehehe
They had about 15 minutes of glory and then........
Yes! Peace and quiet for awhile! But by supper time Fred was looking for trouble again,
and gathered quite a little stash under the coffee table. I guess it's just his way of letting me know that I should be focusing on him and not Christmas goodies!
But I did get a lot done. Just look at these.
Cherry Chocolate Kisses (I got this recipe off of Pinterest and they turned out great!)
And salted caramels. (another great Pinterest find) This is my first time making caramels and they turned out awesome! These two new additions are going to look great on my Christmas goodie trays!
I know this has been a long post but finally on to the Christmas Ornament #17.
This is the ornament that my 5 year old grandson Cameron made me this year.
The cookies look delicious... haven't done any baking yet this year but I'm sure I will make some cookies with my daughter before Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of Freddie and Gloria sleeping together. Those "kiss" cookies are making my mouth water.

Woof! Woof! you guys got out. Oh My my mom loves those cookies. Happy Monday. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteThat picture of Gloria and Fred passed out after the play session is priceless. The sweets look so YUMMY! Now I want sugar!
ReplyDeleteOMD...I'm just going to stare at your cookies and caramels for a few minutes and drool!! They look divine!! :-D Hehehe, Fred and Gloria looked like they had a super fun time outside! I can't believe that they allow you to have your presents at the bottom of the tree, unattended! Whoa!
ReplyDeleteTalk about dropping a hint! Glad to see they got their romp and you could get on with your baking. They look very nice, I have to make some soon, I love your Christmas tree ornament.

I'm hungry just looking at your post.
ReplyDeleteAnd I feel guilty for not setting up the Xmas tree yet.
Gloria and Freddie are graceful, or should I write grasseful (grasse= fat in French :-))
Take care.
Yummy cookies and caramels - and such a lovely Christmas ornament too. Oh Fred you look so fed up in that photo but then romping in the yard with Gloria that was fun I'm sure. Looked like it really tired you out anyway :-) Take care - woofs and licks from Magic xx
ReplyDeleteWe can smell your cookies way over here! We're glad that Freddie and Gloria got in some play time. You know what they say about all work and no play....
ReplyDeleteLove the ornament! The colored beads on there are perfectly placed and bet they really shine under the lights.
Hugs,
Lily Belle & Muffin
