Poor Starved Freddie

Yes, in Freddie's eyes I starve him. He only gets food twice a day instead of 24 hours a day like he would prefer. To top it all off I don't let him eat Gloria's food either! So the dishwasher has become his favorite thing in our house....next to the bed, couch and well........everything else.  But the dishwasher represents food on dishes that us silly wasteful humans haven't licked clean.

Fred knows my routine; usually I unload and reload at the same time.

"Are ya gonna unload the dishwasher now Momma?"

"Come on!  How long can it take ya!"

"Sniff, sniff!  Here comes the motherload!  Come on Gloria!"

And the pre-wash cycle begins. This enables Fred to struggle by for yet another day!

  2. That's it Fred, we too have seen enough! We're gonna have to put in a call to the 'starving dog police' and report your Mama!! I too have been having the same problem recently. Seems like my hoomans aren't feeding me enough. I get the munchies around 9pm and sit and cry and cry and cry. Did you know if you cry loud enough, those silly hoomans give in! OK, so they give me dog food instead of treat's, but my little belly doesn't care by that point. I just need more food!!!

The one good thing for you is that you can reach the inside of the dishwasher. My leg's are too short.

  3. Loved this! We have two helpers around here, too. Well... we did until Rudy's dog tags got hooked on the silverware thingy and he managed to removed the bottom rack from the DW. Yikes! He mostly watches from a distance now.

  4. Me and my sister like to lick out the dishes in the dishwasher too - there's always something left on them - not like ours. We make sure we lick our bowls for at least half an hour after the food is gone to make sure there's not even the smell of food there any more. Woofs & licks from Magic xx

  5. Oh Freddie! I feel so bad for you....I can't believe they do that to you! Let me know what your favorite things are and I will get a care package sent off right away.....you must have food! AND a lot of it....am I right or am I right....we need our strength!

  9. You guys are so lucky to have a dishwasher. MOM doesn't have one. So the only time I get to "use" one is when we are at one of our friends houses. But I will say I am the dish washer at our house. At least the pre-wash cycle. hehehhe. Fred I know you are only following your primal drive of survival.

  13. Pink Floyd, among others, has four hollow legs like Freddie - he's never filled up and always hungry! What does the Mom say? "Oh, waaaa..." Not much sympathy but some chuckles.....love the stories you weave. Freddie is most beseeching, I must say :).

  17. Miro's long legs come in handy when it's time to lick the dishes in the dishwasher. For some reason, it doesn't much interest Alanis.

  18. Oh, poor Freddie boy. How can you starve him so??? My dachshund is also extremely food-motivated. At the dog park, he will jump up on the picnic table and go rummaging through people's bags to find treats. What a stinker!

  19. That's right Fred! You tell em!

  30. Owen feels the same way as you Freddie! He can't believe he only gets two meals a day when his mommy and daddy eat ALL day! Nor does he understand why Mommy and Daddy don't want his help cleaning the dishes.

Maddy & a very hungry Owen

  31. Oh Freddie! How awful of your mom to only feed you twice a day! At least you have the dishwasher to console you.

  32. Great exercise routine, BM. I mean, sure Freddie is licking off the dishes but we have to look at the bigger picture.

Imagine how much concentration it takes to lick the plate... the tongue will need to pinpoint the exact plate as well as the right surface.

Us, humans, have it easy. ^_^

  36. lol, congratulations Fred, one has to look at the environment, and with Gloria's help all dishes can be cleaner than any dishwasher - providing some food is still on the plates - what ;)
