Gloria hurt her front leg romping around with Fred in the yard. I suspect it's just pulled so I have banned her from jumping up on any of the furniture for a day or so. Now she is just making me feel like dirt. Here's an example of the look I have to put up with.
Here, let me get closer!
"Why, Momma?" "Why can't I go on the furniture?" Freddie still is!"
"Look, I've hurt my leg too!"
"Oh, you did not Fred!" "Get up!"
"Did too!"
Anyway...back to Gloria. This is pretty much how she spent most of yesterday.
Mad at me!
Winston hurt his back leg a while back and was banned from jumping and running around. He started feeling better and wasn't taking it easy...had a relapse. It's hard to keep them calm, but good for them in the end.
ReplyDeleteOh those eyes...guilt me every time. Hope she's feeling better soon!
oh sulky gloria, its for your own good !
ReplyDeleteOh Gloria - that is such a sad look but it will be better if you don't jump when your leg is hurt. It will get better much quicker. Maybe a treat or two would help? woofs and licks from Magic xx
ReplyDeleteI really hope Gloria's leg feels better. Bob does this too, but we can't keep him from jumping up!
ReplyDeleteUrban Hounds
Aw, hope she's feeling better real soon!
ReplyDeleteWell it's quite obvious you are evil personified for not letting that poor poor little girl onto the sofa.... Hehe! Deccy
ReplyDeleteOh.... poor Gloria! Mean mommy!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the magic kss?
ReplyDeleteMust be difficult not to jump with Freddie around.
Oh no! Poor Gloria! I hope your leg gets better very soon. Please remember I am ALSO a Dr. and I DO make house calls....just call me on my cell and I will be there! Take care, my friend!
ReplyDeleteAwww, poor baby!! My Nala has hurt her leg too -- it stinks to have a boo book, doesn't it? :(
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon! :)
Woofs & hugs, <3
~Bailey (Yep, I'm a girl!)
Awe poor Gloria. Hope your leg gets better soon!
ReplyDeleteLovies, Miss Mindy
Gloria you need to demand that your momma pick you up and place you gently on the furniture. And don't forget having a hurt leg means that you must be hand fed on a pillow. I am serious, those are the rules.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
We are sorry you have sore leggy. We hope you gets better real soon, Mom is just doing what she knows best for you. But she really could go out and buy you a ramp to use to get on the furniture. That way you can still be happy without hurting yourself. We have a ramp and Winston uses it for a slide. BOL He is so silly. Sniffs, The HoundDogs
ReplyDeleteAwwww poor Gloria!! Make sure you milk it hehe. That face would make me feel like dirt too :(
ReplyDeletePoor Gloria! She sure knows how to milk it huh? That face is heartbreaking lol!
ReplyDeleteOh poor baby! It's for your good, Gloria. I assure you that you can get up onto the furniture before you know it if you take a good rest for a day or two.
ReplyDeleteHope your leg is getting better soon!
Poor Gloria! She's my favorite girl, so I hate to see her suffer. Them boys always play so rough.
ReplyDeleteUmmm, I just don't even knows what to say bouts Freddie.
ReplyDeleteHowevers, Gloria girl milk it fur all it's worth and demand to be carried EVERYRWHERES where you needs and wants to go...and extra treats too...dats always a nice touch.
I do hope you gets all betters real soon.
Puddles
Hope Gloria's leg heals quickly. Love Freddie's faces.

Oh, Basset Momma, I am so sorry!! It is painful to watch your babies physically suffer!! Always. When my BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE German Shepherd/Golden Retriever cross, Shadow, neared the end of her life, there was arthritic stiff limbs, difficulty to arise at times, and, yes, limping!! :-(
ReplyDeleteGet well, Gloria!! ;op
Oh Freddie, please give Gloria a few minutes of fame!! I say this with complete love....you know how I love the spot light!!! And Gloria, paws crossed for a speedy recovery!!!
ReplyDelete~Higgins
Poor sad basset, mom is so abusive! Make her kiss and cuddle that paw so it gets better quickly.
ReplyDeletei hope you heal quickly Gloria. Someone has to keep Freddie on his best behaviour!!! Hugs to you and Fred!
ReplyDeleteI know, those big round puppy eyes just get to you every single time, doesn't it? Poor girl. But I gotta say, that Freddie cracked me up, heehee!!
ReplyDeleteBailey does that to us too. They have an amazing power to make you feel awful for taking care of what they've done to themselves.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwp...poor Miss Gloria, I hope she is up and running soon. (must be the week for leg injuries :( Freddie, you are such a HAM!!
ReplyDeletePoor sad little girl!
ReplyDeleteNo matter how old a dog gets, they still know how to use "puppy eyes!" Gloria, your momma loves you....Freddie, you are so not helping :).
ReplyDeletePoor Gloria. Fred should keep himself off the furniture in sympathy and solidarity. ;) Hope she feels better soon.
ReplyDeletePoor girl! You'll be back to jumping before you know it
ReplyDeleteDachshund Nola
Oh dear Gloria, I do hope you will recover quickly and back on the sofa very soon.
ReplyDeleteThose photo's are priceless and you are so adorable.
Get better soon.
Love from Kirra -x-

ReplyDeleteThere's no place like the sofa, There's no place like the sofa.

ReplyDeleteYours,
Aww, poor Gloria! Feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteHey Gloria, Sophie sends her best because she hurt her leg a few days ago but not too badly. She even let me apply an 'ice bag' for 15 minutes....without moving!!! Go figure! Poor you Gloria....hope it gets better soon!
ReplyDeleteAww, Gloria you poor thing! I hope your little leg gets better soon so you can get on the furniture with Fred. :)
ReplyDeleteShe will give in sooner or later
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Awe poor girl, I think everyone should have to lay on the floor as long as you can't get on the furniture!
ReplyDeletePoor Gloria! Hope she is feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteBOL!! Too funny!! Keep giving her that stink eye Gloria. Make her feel real, real bad! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better real soon!

ReplyDeleteBella had a sore leg last week, and she wasn't allowed to go for walks, or jump on furniture. So we know all about those looks!
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
