Monday Mischief - Santa Came to Town

Fred spent most of the past weekend just laying around mad at me. He heard us talking about Santa coming to town Saturday night and how we were going to go and watch the parade with the grandkids, but he had to stay home with Gloria.

So he just spent the night depressed and mad.

Gloria, being the good girl she is was just happy to have the cushy spot on the couch.

The grandkids were so excited that they were going to see Santa that they didn't even mind the couple of hours sitting out in the cold.

I didn't get really great pictures because first off I took my small camera and second off I forgot to put a flash card in it!

I got a couple of pictures.  I think it only allowed me eight.  Eight!  I'm used to shooting 100 just to get one good one! All in all it was a great night and everyone had fun.

And I did get a picture of the big guy himself!

I don't know what Santa is going to think of Freddie after this weekend. He chewed all of the buttons off of my black sweater though. Then while we had company, he dragged an afghan out into the living room.  We told our company just to ignore him.  That worked well, as then he stole a tea towel, got into my knitting basket and chewed up one of my patterns.  He was in this mode all weekend.  Just looking for trouble.  I think he was rebelling because we were gone so much.

I don't think Santa is going to like this at all!  What do you think?

  1. Are you kidding, one look at Fred and Santa will just melt away. All he will see is Angel Fred and I think he will throw in a new sweater for you.

  2. My dog has been causing some mischief while I've been away from the house this last week too! I think Santa will probably forgive Fred, since he's so cute and all. :-)

  3. Bahaha, oh Freddie! This is the time of the year when you'really supposed to be on your best behavior not worse! ;-) No worries though I'm sure Santy Paws knows you're an awesome and great pup normally (but your parents are another story, you might want to watch it with them!)!! ;-)

  4. The ordeal of the flash card left in the PC... I happen to have two, so I always have one in my camera bag. Otherwise I would have missed many pictures.
I too think Santa Claus will forgive Fred.

  15. Poor Freddie! First you don't take him to see Santa and then you don't pay nearly enough attention to him! ;-) Great post! My first official Santa siting of the year, thanks!

  16. We think it's pawsome that Santa the man came through your town. We're not seen him yet this year but we know he'll be here real soon.

Your little mischief maker did a good job at pulling the house apart. We think that somehow between now and Christmas all will be forgotten and Freddie will have some very nice prezzies under the tree with his name on it!

  17. Fred, dude, it is Christmas season, you have to be on your best behavior no matter how rough it is! Santa sees which dogs are naughty and which are nice - it kills me too to be nice always but we have to try or risk losing our gifts from Santa!

  18. Oh my goodness Freddie! You sure caused a lot of mischief this weekend, but I think you did it out of selflessness - you just wanted to give your mom some great Monday Mischief blog material, right? I think Santa will understand. ;)

  19. See, you shouldn't leave him alone...hehehe. Just be glad you not come home to him drinkin' beer on da couch and eating Cheetos.

  20. Oh Freddie, while it may be good mischief, Santa may mistake you for a bad little dawg. But who am I kidding. He will see the cuteness and leave plenty of presents.

Sounds like a fun parade and I think you got some great pictures.

  21. Poor Freddie, I think he was just mad because he couldn't tell Santa Paws what he wanted for Christmas!

  24. First off I want to say I feel bad that both of my teams won over your Lions....must make you sad....I know it would me....but that is just how it goes sometimes....maybe next time your team will win.... Also tell Freddie not to worry....I called Santa this morning and told him how terrible it was that he was left at home while everyone was out having fun and Santa said he understood completely and would take him off the Naughty list immediately! So no worries Freddie....

  28. A Christmas parade already? Wow, they sure are pushing it. Oh wait, I forgot Canada already had Thanksgiving, so I guess it's a good time to have one before it gets too cold.

And I think Santa will take one look at Fred's face and forgive him of all the mischief!

  29. Looks like a great holiday parade and the grandkids look so excited!

I think Santas going to be keeping a close eye on Freddie in the next few weeks!

  30. Lol - I think Santa will forgive Freddie cause after all, he was left alone quite a long time. I think someone needs extra attention and probably extra presents at Christmas to make up for the neglect! ;)

Good job Freddie - you are even more mischievous than Linus!

  31. I don't think think could ever really end up on Snatas naughty list - but he sure can give it a good try :)

  42. Maybe he thinks he only has to be good on the days between Turkey day and Christmas? Kori and Scarlett, our two naughty girls, think this sounds reasonable! BOL

  43. I think Freddie just trying to see if Santa is paying attention ;) He'd better be a good boy if he wants some tasty presents under the tree!

  44. Wow--that is a lot of mischief! I think Santa's pretty forgiving of such things though, despite what they say.

  45. Hey Fred, Hey Gloria, Jet here. Hi Miss Janet.

Dude, you're gonna get on the naughty list...

Miss Janet, the grandchildren are gorgeous, what a fun time.

Maybe Fred needs a visit to Santa's Enchanted Forest? (here in the tropics???)

  46. Aww poor Freddie. Surely there must be a section that's Naughty AND Nice. Why oh why do we have to be in one or the other! We love the photo of your little grandpeeps. It still makes us smile to think of having a cold Christmas. Ours are usually hot, hot, hot. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  47. I am always surprised when you call yourself a grandmother! Just sayin'!
