here. I had commented that I have a split leash for Fred and Gloria, but have been too chicken to try it out. Why? I don't know. Maybe for fear being dragged down the street by two wild Bassets or falling over in a tangled mess in front of all the neighbours, I don't know. I just envisioned disaster! The other day I decided to finally try it. I kept thinking, heck Snoopy's Mum even runs with Snoopy and Cosmo on the split leash! I must be able to at least walk with these two. So I stopped procrastinating about it and tried the split leash.
Well, it was great!!! Probably one of the best walks I've had with these two. Instead of pulling on me, they pull on each other.
It started out with Gloria in the lead and when she started to peter out........
Fred took over the lead. They basically walked each other! The best part was that by the time we got back around to our crescent they were actually walking behind me!
Thanks for that story of you and Cosmo, Snoopy! It stayed in the back of my mind and motivated me to try our split leash!! No more procrastinating for me! Well........maybe just a bit.
